Dead of Night: Hull Horror Film Festival: One Cut of the Dead

Shinichiro Ueda | Japan | 2017 | 96 min | Cert 15

Japanese with English subtitles

Things go badly for a hack director and film crew shooting a low budget zombie movie in an abandoned WWII Japanese facility when they are attacked by real zombies.

This marvelously inventive Japanese horror-comedy features an epic, 37-minute opening continuous single take.

Starring: Takayuki Hamatsu, Yuzuki Akiyama, Harumi Shuhama

"Drunk on its own DIY energy and deeply in love with everything it's doing...a euphoric ode to the chaos (and compromises) of genre filmmaking." - Indiewire

ONE CUT OF THE DEAD is rated 15. Visit the BBFC website for full details (may include plot spoilers).
