Following on from Twisted Wheel's physical chart number 1 hit with the new EP 'Jonny Guitar', an almost sold-out 'Snakes & Ladders' tour and successful support slots with Liam Gallagher, the band are revving up for the road again - this time with the 'Jonny Guitar' tour. The fierce ascent has been driven by a swelling of new and old fans across the UK and beyond, further boosted by the digital download release last week. 'Jonny Guitar' was created 1990's style, on a shoestring in Manchester and is a work of art, sweat and guts as well as a cunning charm offensive. Twisted Wheel was the band that, like a bad junkie, refused to just go away. Although it was thrown to the dogs as one more indie-rock-whatever, the band has returned leading the pack and carrying the biggest bone. The show will include favourites from previous albums, songs from the new EP and possibly a couple from the new album. With a multitude of subtle influences for the more precise, Twisted Wheel's real strength is in its ability to pound out genuine songs that activate your gut and your memory and swell audience's hearts, the backbone of rock'n'roll. You know what the score was on the last tour - sold-out, stage-diving, sweaty affairs of an ecstasy and euphoria long gone from live music venues. If you missed out first time, don't now.
